Get Out of Bed and Make a Plan

The majority of things that never get done never get done because they are never started. You wait and wait and wait, and you wait so long that the thing no longer matters. And the days turn into weeks, which turn into months, which turn into years.

People become bitter as a result of years of mediocrity. If you want to be around bitter and complaining people, go to places where there isn’t much activity. They’re bitter, they’re complaining, they’re cynical, and they’re jealous because nothing is happening in their lives.

And if you want to avoid this happening to you, get out of bed and plan your strategy. Get out of bed and make a plan. When you have a plan, you don’t waste time worrying about how you feel because it doesn’t matter how you feel because you woke up with something to do.

Because if you don’t change your attitude, you’ll lose your altitude. The issue is not the circumstances. It takes practice. There is no short cut to success.

To achieve your goals, you need to be intentional and deliberate

And your issue is that you are not intentional and deliberate. You may feel strong on Monday, but by Wednesday, you will be exhausted…You’re not being intentional or deliberate; you’re hoping for the best, and the best never comes your way.

Know what you’re going after and be clear about your goals. Don’t wake up in the morning wondering if something will happen. Make something happen first thing in the morning. Get out of bed and make a plan.

You have to decide what you’re going to do and then do it every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

The problem with some of you in this room is that you’re a good person and you just hope that good things happen to you. If dreams were easy to achieve, everyone would do it.

The problem is that most people can’t get out of bed in the morning because they lack energy. Some things require you to be powerful. You wake up and it takes you three weeks to do something that could take 24 hours.

Make it Happen: Take Control of Your Time, Mind, and

This does not make you a bad person, but it does mean you’ll always be average because to be great, you have to keep up. MAKE IT HAPPEN – GET UP AND MAKE IT HAPPEN. Take complete control of your time, mind, and day.

It is the struggle, the wrestling, the pulling, the trial, the temptation, the stumbling and falling and getting back up that gives you foundation; it is worth it to look bad for a little while and come up looking good for a lifetime rather than look good for a minute and come down in a flash. I need to work on my discipline. I’m going to have to work hard. I’m going to have to go through some heartbreak.

However, I am working on something. And what I’m working on can’t be done in an instant. What I’m working on has to be able to withstand some abuse. I learn by doing. I learn through struggle. My strength tolerance grows. My tolerance for pain improves. My knowledge grows. My ability to handle haters improves.

Make One Change to Change Your Life

I’ve grown tougher. I’ve grown stronger. It’s not just the mechanical influence of robotically doing it; it’s just that as you go along, you learn things about yourself that you didn’t know before. You learn how to deal with annoyance and heartbreak.You learn how to deal with challenges and difficult situations.

It is a process that gives you the power and I’m telling you you have not given yourself enough credit to say I just need to get up a half hour earlier and my whole life will change.

I simply need to wake up an hour earlier.I just need to work an extra hour. I should stop hitting the snooze button. And if you made just one change, just one sacrifice, you’d stop dreaming and start living.

What do you desire from your marriage? What do you desire for your health? When do you want to be financially free? How much money do you hope to earn in a year? What kind of vehicle do you want to drive? What kind of life do you want to live?

Stop waking up as if it were an accident. What do you desire?

Wake Up and Pursue What You Want

And then, once you’ve determined what you want, spend the rest of your natural life waking up and pursuing it.
